Delivering over 25,000 Passover food packages for Israel's neediest families

Migdal Ohr Dorm Mother

Dear Friend,

I hope that you are healthy and that your family is well.

I am a mother to 15 children - 3 children of my own and another 12 boys that I am raising here in one of the family style dorms at Migdal Ohr.

As Passover approaches, the air in Israel is tense. Children have been ordered to go home, but these kids are here because they have nowhere to go.

Families who were living paycheck to paycheck are now in crisis wondering how they will pay their bills or put food on the table. How will they make a Passover seder?

If you can help, we need your help now more than ever before.

Thank you for your care and generosity. We feel it every day and we are beyond grateful.

Chag Sameach,

You can make a direct impact on the life of a child in Israel. There are children relying on us for support.

Right now, you can help children and families in dire need as the coronavirus crisis unfolds. Their need has never been greater.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Migdal Ohr’s mission?

Migdal Ohr means "tower of light" in Hebrew and is one of Israel’s largest and most impactful nonprofits. We have raised over 15,000 of Israel’s most vulnerable youth to become thriving, successful adults. We give children the support and education they lack to overcome socio-economic barriers and realize their full potential.

Migdal Ohr was established in 1972 by Israel Prize Winner Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman to ensure that each of Israel’s orphaned, abused, and neglected children would have a bright future, regardless of where they came from. Decades later, we are just as fervently committed to the mission and dedicated to strengthening Israel’s next generation from the ground up.
